ACT ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
Grade 8 Students--EXPLORE
The EXPLORE program prepares students for their high school coursework as well as their post-high school choices by identifying strengths and weaknesses early in their educational development.

Grade 10 Students--PLAN
PLAN provides students with an early indication of their educational progress and helps them make adjustments to their coursework to ensure they are prepared and ready for college.

ACT Assessment
The ACT is a curriculum-based educational/career planning tool that assesses the mastery of state and college readiness standards. It is accepted by all four-year colleges/universities in the US.

SAT Assessment
The 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) Score Reports have been received at each of our buildings and will be distributed to students December 13-21.  The PSAT/NMSQT offers your child practice for the SAT and the opportunity to earn scholarships.  It also provides an evaluation of your child's skills and comparison with other college-bound students, as well as a chance to learn about colleges interested in students with a profile similar to your child's.  All students who take the PSAT/NMSQT receive access to My College QuickstartTM, a personalized online planning tool that helps them get ready for the SAT and prepare for college and careers.  You and your student can access this website at www.collegeboard.org/quickstart and sign in using the code located in bold type highlighted in light blue at the bottom of your student's score report.
